Amino Era LLC ("Amino Era", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at aminoera.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our Site or place an order with us.

We are incorporated in California, United States. This policy is governed by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). If you are a California resident, Section 8 of this policy describes your specific rights under the CCPA.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Our core commitment: We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling. We collect only what is necessary to operate our research compound e-commerce business.

Information You Provide Directly

When you create an Account, place an Order, or contact us, we collect:

  • Account information: Full name, email address, password (hashed — never stored in plain text)
  • Order information: Shipping address, billing address, order history, compound purchases, lot numbers
  • Payment information: For card payments, we collect only the last 4 digits and card type — full card numbers are processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor and never stored on our servers. For ACH, we collect routing and account numbers for processing only. For crypto, we collect wallet addresses for order reconciliation.
  • Communications: Messages, support tickets, or emails you send to us
  • Researcher attestation: Your confirmation of researcher status recorded at time of purchase
Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect:

  • Device & browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type
  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, referring URLs, search queries on Site
  • Session data: Login timestamps, session duration, cart contents
  • Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 5 for full cookie details
Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government-issued ID numbers, biometric data, health or medical records, financial account numbers beyond what is required for payment processing, or sensitive personal characteristics. We do not collect data from individuals under 21.

Service Providers

We work with third-party vendors who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements. These include:

  • Payment processors — to securely process card, ACH, and crypto payments (e.g. Stripe, Plaid). They receive only what is necessary to process your transaction.
  • Shipping carriers — USPS and FedEx receive your name and delivery address to fulfil your order.
  • E-commerce platform — WooCommerce/WordPress hosts order and account data as our core platform.
  • Email service provider — to send transactional emails (order confirmations, tracking updates).
  • Analytics providers — anonymised, aggregated usage data only. No personally identifiable information is shared.
Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation or court order; protect and defend the rights or property of Amino Era; prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing; protect the personal safety of users or the public; or protect against legal liability.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our assets, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. You will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on the Site prior to your data becoming subject to a different privacy policy.

No advertising networks: We do not share your data with advertising networks, social media platforms for retargeting, or data brokers under any circumstances.

  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 3 years after closure, unless deletion is requested
  • Order records: Retained for 7 years to meet tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations
  • Researcher attestation records: Retained for 7 years for compliance purposes
  • Payment records: Card last-4 and transaction IDs retained for 7 years; full payment data held only by payment processor per their retention policies
  • Support communications: Retained for 3 years after resolution
  • Analytics data: Anonymised and aggregated — retained indefinitely as it cannot identify individuals
  • Security logs: IP address and access logs retained for 90 days

When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be associated with you.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:

  • 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption on all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
  • Password hashing using bcrypt — your password is never stored in plain text
  • PCI-DSS compliance for all payment processing — card data is never stored on our servers
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only on a need-to-know basis
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of our platform
  • Secure, encrypted backups with restricted access

No system is impenetrable: While we implement robust security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable California law, which requires notification within 72 hours of discovery.

Opt out of the sale of your personal information. Note: we do not sell personal information. This right is satisfied by our policy.

Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights — no denial of service, price changes, or reduced quality.
How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a CCPA rights request, contact us at support@aminoera.com or via our Contact page. We will verify your identity before processing any request and respond within 45 days. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary with prior notice.

You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of authorisation and may contact you directly to verify the request.

For requests under the Shine the Light Law (Cal. Civil Code § 1798.83), California residents may also request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. We do not share personal information for direct marketing and will confirm this upon request.

Age Requirement & Children's Privacy

This Site is intended solely for individuals who are 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. Account registration requires users to confirm they meet the minimum age requirement of 21, and all purchases require explicit age confirmation.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 21, we will delete that information immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@aminoera.com and we will take prompt action.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including carrier tracking pages, payment processor portals, and external research references. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Amino Era Site. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every third-party site you visit. The presence of a link on our Site does not constitute an endorsement of that site's privacy practices.

Affiliate tracking: Our affiliate program (powered by Coupon Affiliates for WooCommerce) uses coupon codes and referral links to track conversions. Affiliate data is processed internally and is not shared with or sold to affiliate partners beyond standard commission reporting.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via email to your registered address.
